Unknown Master is the most recent project of accomplished artist Juliana Kolesova. Juliana received a Master’s degree in fine art and design from the Moscow School of Applied Arts. She then began her career as a painter and her pieces were displayed and sold in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe. Since that time she has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and art director for various companies in Moscow in both the advertising and publishing industries. After relocating to Toronto, Juliana started her own design and illustration business. Her artistic abilities have been recognized through numerous national and international awards for her exquisite design, illustrations and photography. Her background in portraiture, studies in costume history, extensive experience in both graphic design and digital photography merge seamlessly in the production of her unique and captivating historically-inspired portraits. Each child is seen through Juliana’s artistic eye to envision an era that best suits his or her individual look and personality. All costumes, which are made only of the finest fabrics, are designed and sewn by Juliana herself with meticulous attention to detail to ensure historical accuracy. Her artist flair also extends to the hair design and makeup application for her subjects. Backgrounds for each portrait are excerpts from original photographs taken by Juliana on her extensive world travels. Combining all of the skills and talent acquired during her 20 years experience as an artist, Juliana produces heirloom quality masterpieces for you and your family to treasure for years to come. As an artist and illustrator Juliana is represented by Shannon Associates in New York. She is a member of The Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD Ontario) and The Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications (CAPIC).
